WANTED: Experienced Backend Developer
NOT WANTED: Village Elder, Tribe Leader, or Code Shaman
Ever felt the pain of choosing the wrong design for your persistence layer? Had to untangle a thread deadlock issue on a live system? No? Then kindly come back in a couple of years.
We are looking for someone who has written real software, made mistakes and learned from those.
We’re an Edinburgh-based startup applying A.I. to large-scale planning and scheduling problems. But clever algorithms count for nothing unless they are encapsulated in robust, usable systems, with swift access to accurate data. That’s where you come in.
You will get a sense of satisfaction from elegant software architecture, have a dash of pragmatism for when the pressure is on, and have the initiative to argue for new and better ways of doing things.
Technology wise, experience of C#/ASP.NET or Java EE and their related build chains is mandatory. A good working knowledge of SQL and DB design would also be highly beneficial.
We have just closed a round of investment and we can offer a competitive salary, a fun place to work and a level of autonomy and influence that you just won’t get in a larger company. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to truly contribute to the future technical direction of Airts.
If that sounds up your street then send your CV and covering letter to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. No agencies please.
